Hi β I’m the Frisco mom behind this blog. π
A little over a year ago, I was where a lot of you might be right now: standing in my kitchen at 11 p.m. with a half-cold cup of coffee, a notebook full of half-finished pros-and-cons lists, and a phone full of unread emails from preschool directors. We were trying to find the right preschool for our daughter, and I was completely overwhelmed.
Like a lot of Frisco families, we juggle two careers, a packed sports schedule for our older kid, and the kind of family calendar that requires color coding and a small prayer. The preschool search added a whole new layer. Suddenly I was deep in 47-tab Chrome sessions reading about play-based vs. academic philosophies, comparing curriculum frameworks, asking questions about teacher tenure and toy sanitization, and trying to figure out which schools actually lived up to their websites.
I toured a lot of preschools. Some were beautiful but disorganized. Some had fantastic curriculum but felt cold. A couple looked great until I peeked at the bathrooms. And then I walked into The Learning Experience Frisco β and within fifteen minutes I knew. The classrooms were bright and clean, the curriculum had a clear path to kindergarten, the teachers used the children’s names, and the parent app meant I’d have visibility into my kid’s day even from a packed work calendar. It was the right fit for us.
Why I started this blog
After we enrolled, I kept getting the same questions from friends, neighbors, and Frisco mom groups: “How did you decide?” “What questions did you ask?” “Where should we even start?” I was typing out the same advice over and over, and one night it hit me β why not just put it all in one place?
So that’s what this is. The checklists, the questions, the green flags and red flags, the tour scheduling tips, the cost guides, the kindergarten readiness rundowns β all of it. And yes, an honest spotlight on The Learning Experience Frisco, since it became our favorite and I think it’s worth a careful tour for any family in the area.
A few things to know
- This blog is written from one mom’s perspective. I’m not a child development expert. I’m a parent who did the homework and wants to save you some time.
- Every preschool decision is personal. The “right” school is the one that fits your child, your family’s life, and your values. I share what I learned and what to look for β please trust your own gut on the final call.
- I read every comment. If you’re touring preschools in Frisco and have a question, drop it on any post. If you’ve already found your fit, I’d love to hear what made the difference.
Thanks for reading, and good luck out there. I hope this guide makes your search feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more clear.
